BECOME A SUMMER VOLUNTEER

Volunteer at West Park Museum this summer and help us deliver a family-friendly programme of activities that will inspire a new generation of Macclesfield’s children.

What?

West Park Museum is opening its doors this summer with a new look at the collection, lots of stories to tell and plenty of boredom-busting activities for children and families designed by the Museum and Barnaby. All free of charge.

When?

We need volunteers from Saturday 27th July to Sunday 1st September, Tuesdays to Sundays,
1-4pm.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help us at the Museum’s special holiday weekend activities:

  • Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July
  • Friday 17th-Sunday 19th August
  • Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th August

What will you be helping us do?

You’ll be helping us by overseeing activities with families and children, helping us prep the Museum, to care for the precious objects, to help us tell their stories and to inspire a new generation of Macclesfield’s children to love West Park Museum as much as we do.

Who?
You’ll be outgoing, friendly, approachable and love interacting with families and children. If you have any time to spare between July 27th and September 1st , Tuesdays to Sundays and are over 18 years old we’d love to hear from you.

How?

If you can help us out, then please just fill in the time slots you can do using this Doodle link by Sunday 21st July. Just enter your name and we’ll get back to you to confirm. If you have any questions, you can email education@silkmacclesfield.org.uk
