DEADLINE for submission is: Monday 16 December 2019 although you can send it in earlier, that’s welcome and if your ideas are not yet fully formed please apply anyway as we need to get a sense of who is interested.

ASK QUESTIONS: if you have questions please contact opencall@barnabyfestival.org.uk and we will aim to respond as soon as possible (please do not leave this until right before the submission deadline!!)

Macclesfield Barnaby Festival is a charity working for the benefit of Macclesfield and our residents. Running a festival like Barnaby incurs many costs, and fundraising takes up a significant amount of our time. While we want everyone to be able to access our submission process we also ask those of you who are able to for a small donation to support us in administering the open call process.

Our suggested donation is £10, and our preferred method of payment is via the debit/credit card portal below. If you would rather pay by online banking, please email mail @ barnabyfestival.org.uk to request our bank details.

Frequently Asked Questions

If additional funding is needed, are there any issues with applying for a grant from elsewhere?2019-10-20T16:09:09+01:00

If you are able to apply for other funding (beyond £250 micro-funding which Barnaby might contribute) this would be welcomed by Barnaby. We can offer a view of the support in kind you will be receiving from Barnaby to support your application.

Will Barnaby organise and sell tickets?2019-10-20T16:08:03+01:00

Yes, ticketed events will be coordinated through the Barnaby site and ticketing system. Where events have a ticket price there will be a commission charge to cover the administration fees – and we will share details of this as soon as we can.

Will events have to promote themselves?2019-10-20T16:05:45+01:00

There will as ever be a Barnaby programme, including all programmed events. The form asks you for a draft programme entry (you will have chance to re-edit this before we print!). Our marketing plan will include programmed events in our print and digital output. All event organisers will also be asked to contribute to marketing their own event and Barnaby festival as a whole – through social media, and traditional off-line means.

Will Barnaby do marketing for event submissions that are included in the programme?2019-10-20T16:04:53+01:00
