From Thursday 18th – 28th June 2020 Barnaby Festival will once again bring Macclesfield out to play for the 8th edition (and 10th
birthday) of this vibrant, popular community festival. Ten days of arts programming, events and fun will explore the theme of ‘Vision’: celebrating the ways we all see and think differently.
Macclesfield’s Barnaby Festival is a registered charity powered by volunteers. We raise money from public funds, trusts and foundations and also rely on financial support from sponsorship and donations.
For 2020, Arts Council England have awarded the Festival a National Lottery project grant, in recognition of the high standard of visual arts, music and culture that Barnaby has built a reputation for delivering. This is alongside generous support from Cheshire East Council and Macclesfield Town Council, plus our continuing principal sponsor, the Grosvenor Centre .

How can you help Barnaby?
We are indebted to the many individuals, families, businesses, organisations and charities who have given to Barnaby over the past 10 years. It’s no secret that public funding of the arts has been under increasing pressure in that period, and our wonderful supporters have always stepped up to ensure that each festival is a rich and varied celebration of place and culture, and that as much as possible of what’s on offer can be experienced by everyone, for low or no cost.
