The Barnaby Parade is the centrepiece of the first Saturday of the Festival, a time when community groups, schools, families, individuals… can come together and celebrate everything Macclesfield has to offer: its history, its scenery, its creativity, its contrariness! Things that make our town very special. If you’d like to take part, you can find out about some of the themes and great ideas we have over at the Macclesfield Community ArtSpace website where you can also register your group.

Macclesfield Community ArtSpace organises the Parade, from creating the artistic vision to building elaborate floats and costumes. You’ll love their FREE Parade workshops where you can get advice and support for your ideas and let your creativity take flight and shine! Workshops are every Tuesday from 12 noon – 9pm and other times by arrangement at Macclesfield Community Artspace, 2ndFloor, The Arsenal, Sutton Mill,  Heapy Street, Macclesfield , Cheshire SK11 7JB (Lift available; Parking at rear).
