The Barnaby Festival weekend will see the Barnaby Parade (17th June) a Community Arts Trail across Macclesfield Town Centre (17th & 18th June) and the Barnaby Listening Tent (17th June). There will be two first aid points at the event which will be located in and operational between. Christ Church – 11am – 12.30pm (First Aid will join the parade and walk the route) St Michael’s Church – 12.30pm – 2pm If you require medical assistance either, make your way to the designated First
There will be two Lost Child and Vulnerable Adult points at the event which will be located and in operation between. Christ Church – 10.30am – 2.30pm St Michael’s Church – 12pm – 2.30pm Lost children should be reported immediately to the nearest Barnaby parade steward. These will be identifed as wearing Hi-vis jacket
There will be additional temporary toilet facilities located at Christ Church. The café at ST Michaels will also be open during the event with toilet facilities available to use.
For the safety of parade participants, the Christ Church car park on Gt. King Street will be closed with no vehicle access. Due to the nature of the event and as in previous years, there will be a number of road closures and rolling closures taking effect at various times between 12pm – 2pm on Saturday 17th June 2023. The parade will leave Christ Church at 12.30pm, with Christ Church car park closed for parking, with
The parade will leave Christ Church at 12.30pm with the route passing through via Great King Street, Bridge Street, Chestergate, Market Place, Mill Street, Roe Street, Bridge Street before returning to Christ Church. We anticipate the event will be finished by 2pm.
