We collect personal data for fundraising both directly and indirectly to help us manage our fundraising effectively and increase the money available to spend on Festival activities. Direct sources include any interaction you have with the Festival. Indirect sources include mutual contacts and publicly available information.

The information we hold may include personal data such as names and contact details, details that indicate a potential interest in the Festival, connections with others involved with the Festival, and the history of interactions with the Festival and donations given.

What we do with the data

We may use the information we hold to decide how best to engage with you and to invite you to support the Festival. We may also send you general Festival information and news.

We never share personal data with other organisations except as required by law, where we are using a third party to carry out work for us, or where we need to do so as part of fulfilling a contract with you. We use our best endeavours to keep data safe at all times.

The legal basis on which we handle supporter and potential supporter data is that of legitimate interest.

What to do if you want us to stop contacting you or have a query about our use of your data

You can ask us to stop contacting you about future support for the Festival at any time by emailing mail@barnabyfestival.org.uk or writing to Macclesfield Barnaby Festival, Waters Green House, Sunderland Street, Macclesfield SK11 6LF. If you have never donated to the Festival, we will remove all personal data from our records apart from a note that you do not wish to be contacted. If you have donated in the past, we will need to retain details of any previous donations for tax and accounting purposes.You can also use these contact details if you want to know what personal data we hold on you or you have any queries about our use of your data.
