Market Place, in the centre of town, comes alive to the sounds of the Barnaby Big Weekend on Saturday 16 June and Sunday 17 June.
Everyone’s welcome, everything is entirely FREE, and no tickets are required (except for the LEGO robotics)!
There’s music on the outdoor stage throughout the day from some of our favourite local music and dance groups, food stalls, and our very own bar, the Barnaby Tap.
Other Saturday events and activities include (timings subject to change):
Silhouette Art Trail Workshops – help us create a Barnaby mural and make your very own silhouette. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
10am – 12pm, Barnaby Hub in the Grosvenor Centre (opposite Clark’s Shoes).
Lego Robotics workshop – create your own LEGO robots. 8-11 year olds, must be accompanied by an adult.
10am – 12pm, Town Hall.
Storytelling performances from Jan Blake and the children and parents of Puss Bank and Broken Cross Schools at the Barnaby marquee in St Michael’s Churchyard
– 10.30am – 11am; 3pm – 4pm; performances every 15 minutes; just drop in.
Circo Rum Ba Ba with The Crow House – a joyous mix of circus, puppetry and slapstick.
– 11am & 2.30pm, outside the Town Hall.
Parkour workshops with Denislav Stoynev at the Barnaby Marquee. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
– 11am to 1.30pm; just drop in.
My Wall is Your Filter Bubble – augmented reality experience by 6 brilliant Mexican artists.
– 11am – 4pm, Sparrow Park. Just drop in.
Kaleido Cam – Try your hand at creating your own digital art.
– 11am – 4pm, churchyard. Just drop in.
