Join printmaking teacher Mike Walsh for this two-part workshop. In the first session, you will be guided in drawing, etching and printing a silk moth, with reference to Victorian scientific drawings. In the second session, you can choose your own image, from butterflies, damselflies and other insects, with a focus on the insect life found at Macclesfield’s endangered Nature Reserve, Danes Moss. You’ll take home a number of prints, perfect for framing. No experience in printmaking or drawing necessary, as your teacher will provide techniques for you to transfer images to the card, or you can try free-hand drawing. For all ages and abilities, children must be accompanied by an adult. We welcome neurodiverse and disabled learners and provide accessible learning provisions.
