**Please Note**

Macclesfield Barnaby Festival is currently assessing the situation with regards to hosting workshops and activities in light of COVID-19.

We feel that it is safer for our team and participants to postpone the Barnaby Presents workshop on Monday 16th March. We hope that you understand that this is in the interests of people’s health. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We will be advertising a new date as soon as possible.

Our decision to postpone this particular event is no reflection on our plans for the festival in June. We are continually reviewing the situation.

What should we consider when planning arts festival events to make sure that they are diverse, inclusive and accessible for all audiences?

What do we need to be aware of? How can we inform our planning?

Join us for Barnaby Presents: Creating Inclusive, Accessible and Diverse Events on Monday 16th March, 6.30-8.30pm at The Old Sunday School Heritage Centre, Macclesfield.

This free, two hour session will take the form of a workshop and we’ll work with facilitators (to be announced shortly) to help us plan events that are inclusive, accessible and enjoyable for all audience members.

If you’re organising an event or project as part of Barnaby 2020, or you’re working on another upcoming event, do bring along your plans and ideas to discuss in the session. This is the fourth in a series of Barnaby Presents talks and workshops covering a wide range of arts & culture producing skills that will take place in the lead up to Barnaby Festival 2020. These sessions are free to attend and open to everyone. At the workshop you will have the chance to make an optional donation to Macclesfield Barnaby Festival (registered charity no. 1151155). We are a charity working for the benefit of Macclesfield and our residents.

Running a festival like Barnaby incurs many costs and fundraising takes up a significant amount of our time. Any donations are really appreciated and will help us to run more events like Barnaby Presents: Creating Inclusive, Accessible and Diverse Events.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Pre registration is essential. per RSVP below. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
