@MaccArtSpace has been a critical part of this year's parade float and costume preparation as they've worked tirelessly to support other charities and groups.
It's based at the top of an old mill on Heapy Street near Windmill Park - a place where people can come together to create art, get involved in local community projects and feel a sense of belonging.

ArtSpace came from the first Barnaby Parade, now more than a decade ago, aiming to keep the spirit alive all year round. Thanks to support from Macclesfield Town Council who funded a coordinator in April 2022, it's had a busy year getting involved with lots of events and offering free family workshops. It's delivered courses on-site in creative pursuits such as sewing, woodwork and art. For a small donation, anyone can drop in during opening hours to create!

"Our parade entry is inspired by all of the exciting events we have taken part in over the last 12 months and our float showcases this work plus special pieces made for the parade.
ArtSpace has been involved with Barnaby Festival since its very first year, particularly helping to put the parade together , and we are thrilled to see it back as a main event in the Macclesfield calendar.

Thank you so much to the Team for all you've done this year with support from Macc Town Council! Everyone please come along today from 12:30pm and show them how much they mean to the town.

So glad that we have kept our waste lower and supported an artist this way!
