Our Vision

Barnaby: Macclesfield thriving through creativity

Our Mission

Barnaby is a platform for everyone to contribute, participate and celebrate in the cultural life of our town.

Our Values, what we think is important

  • Inclusive: We aim to bring all of Macclesfield together.
  • Everyone is welcome: We are an open and approachable organisation. We give people an opportunity to participate whether it is through the creation of art, volunteering or celebrating Macclesfield’s creativity.
  • Sustainable: Everything we do should contribute to sustaining Barnaby whether it is through nurturing our people, being financially and environmentally responsible or via our developing partnerships.
  • Pride in our  Town and Its Heritage: We celebrate our town’s past , present and future

Strategic Objectives

  • Produce: We have a programme of activities
  • Partnership: Ensure that we stabilise and develop our financial capacity, invest in our stakeholders and share resources
  • Sustainability: People and Finances are crucial. We will ensure that we have a vibrant group of volunteers who are involved throughout the year. We will have a clear strategic funding plan in place. This should ensure that we can plan ahead with confidence knowing that we are financially resilient and environmentally responsible.
  • Empower: We are constantly developing opportunities for Macclesfield’s people to contribute to the cultural life of our town. This includes providing a platform for local artists to develop and showcase their talent.
  • Engage: We regularly communicate with our key stakeholders to ensure that we remain relevant to the town.
